The Ear-A-Gator® brings to the ENG laboratory the first embedded PC controlled caloric irrigator. The unit permanently stores five user defined irrigation test protocols. A test protocol consists of four irrigations whose parameters are quickly and easily entered with the front panel keypad. The lighted, front panel digital display monitors the progress of the test protocol and its parameters.

The Ear-A-Gator® can be used with any analog or computerized ENG recording system. Using the latest technology, Life-Tech has incorporated these major features:
  • External water reservoir reduces unit maintenance, size and weight.
  • Unit draws water from an external 5 liter plastic tank or from any other vessel via rear panel intake hose.
  • Unit heats water to irrigation temperature in 5 minutes or less.
  • Water recirculates through irrigation hose during heating, eliminating the need to purge.
  • Internal memory holds five user defined irrigation test protocols. The user can select any one of the predefined test protocols or create one manually. Previously stored test protocols can be replaced with new ones.
  • Automatic pause time countdown between irrigations. The unit beeps when pause time has elapsed.
  • PC controlled mechanical pump is unaffected by irrigator height.
  • Easy to hold and position, the small diameter, lightweight irrigation hose can be fitted with an optional handpiece that lights the ear canal and initiates irrigation.
  • Hardware sensors monitor water temperature and independently interrupt heater power in case of PC malfunction
