Welch Allyn AudioPath

AudioPath™ Platform

Affordable, objective hearing screening is possible at last thanks to the new AudioPath EOAE screener. Evoked Otoacoustic Emissions (EOAE) are recognized as a highly sensitive indicator of hearing acuity. Recommendations in support of pediatric hearing screening have been published by the National Institutes of Health, the Centers for Disease Control, the Joint Committee on Infant Hearing, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. EOAE has been identified as a safe, effective hearing screening procedure for children under five years of age.

EOAE technology stimulates and detects sounds created by a bio-mechanical process originating from the outer hair cells within the cochlea. This eliminates the need for active patient response required in traditional audiology screening tests. The latest research clearly shows that early detection and intervention can dramatically improve the lives of hearing-impaired children.

As your practice's hearing screening needs grow, so will the AudioPath screener's state-of-the-art capabilities. That's because Welch Allyn has designed the AudioPath screener for audiometry and tympanometry upgrades in addition to its EOAE technology.
