The E-A-RTONE® 3A Insert Earphone is designed to be used with any
audiometer in pure tone or speech audiometric testing. It is available in three
impedance versions (10
), 50
and 300
) to accomodate most screening or
clinical equipment. Calibration procedures are presented in the current ANSI
Standard "Specification for Audiometers" (S3.6-1996) and the
International Standard (ISO 389-2) "Acoustics - Reference zero for the
calibration of audiometric equipment", Part 2. The unique E-A-RLINK®
foam coupling system provides fundamental clinical and practical advantages over
a supra-aural earphone that can save time and enhance test reliability.
